The Indian legal community is mourning the death of IP specialist Akash Chittranshi, the founding partner of Akash Chittranshi & Associates. Chittranshi died suddenly on 16 October while on a flight returning from a legal conference. He was just 40 years old.

A well-respected figure in India’s close-knit IP community, Chittranshi was described by Jyoti Taneja, an advocate at his firm, as “passionate, enthusiastic, dynamic, kind-hearted, spirited, vivacious and determined.
“He was a ball of energy, and would fill any room he walked into with his presence.” Taneja told India Business Law Journal. “Akash always believed in carving a way for himself rather than walking on treaded paths.”
