Former Linklaters partner Crystal Chen is moving to DLA Piper to be a partner in the firm’s finance, projects and restructuring practice based in Hong Kong.
Qualified in New York, Hong Kong and Mainland China, Chen specialises in the development and financing, and acquisition and disposal, of projects in the power, petrochemical and mining sectors.
Chen has advised lenders on infrastructure finance projects that form part of the Belt and Road initiative, particularly projects along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, according to Reuters.
Her clients have included Standard Chartered Bank, Bank of China and the Silk Road Fund.
Chen has also advised the International Finance Corporation and the Mongolian government concerning financing of renewable energy projects in Pakistan.
