Chicago-based legal services company Mindcrest has embarked on a hiring spree in India. A year ago the firm had 40 employees. Today it has 400 and it wants more. It is mainly targeting lawyers in Mumbai and Pune.
The move is set to increase competition in India’s recruitment market, where domestic law firms are battling in-house legal departments, foreign law firms and legal process outsourcers to attract and retain the best talent.
Teju Deshpande, a co-founder of Mindcrest, told the Chicago Tribune that there are more than 100 rival legal services firms with operations in India, and that the competition shows how valuable the service is proving to be.
