Jingtian & Gongcheng recently added six partners – Zhao Shuzhou, Shen Xiangman, Hu Jian, Zhang Kehua, Yang Bo and Zhou Kaiguo – to strengthen the firm’s service capability in maritime and international trade, and foreign-related commercial dispute resolution.
Guangzhou-based Zhao Shuzhou told Asia Business Law Journal that as Chinese companies go global, and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA) plans advance, maritime lawyers in China are realizing many business opportunities.

Joining from Wang Jing & Co, Zhao Shuzhou specializes in shipping and maritime, international trade, financial insurance and financial leasing, with experience in domestic and cross-border litigation and arbitration. Also specializing in these fields, Shen Xiangman has more than 30 years of experience and is deputy director of the legal professional committee of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Co-operation Promotion Association.
