Yara India has announced it will acquire Tata Chemicals’ urea and customized fertilizers business through the purchase of Tata Chemicals’ urea plant in Babrala, Uttar Pradesh. The plant has an annual production of 700,000 tonnes of ammonia and 1.2 million tonnes of urea.
The deal is worth around US$400 million.
