White & Case announced in April that it has promoted bank finance and restructuring counsel Baldwin Cheng to local partner. He will relocate from Hong Kong to Beijing in May, but will continue to advise clients in Hong Kong, while also focusing on strengthening the firm’s practice in Beijing and Shanghai.
