Fledgling firm Argus Partners and 15-year-old Udwadia & Udeshi have agreed to a merger, which will come into effect on 1 April. The new firm will be known as Udwadia Udeshi & Argus Partners. Krishnava Dutt, the founding partner of Argus Partners, will take the helm as managing partner of the merged firm.

Udwadia Udeshi & Argus Partners will be a full-service law firm, with 12 partners at offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai.
Udwadia & Udeshi’s founding partners – Dilip Udeshi and Darius Udwadia – are well-respected veteran practitioners armed with 50 and 48 years of legal practice, respectively. Udwadia & Udeshi was set up by the duo following their retirement as partners from Crawford Bayley & Co.
