Troutman Sanders has announced the opening of an office in Beijing, the law firm’s third office in China.
The Beijing office is led by office managing partner Allen Shyu, who most recently was working as a partner in the Hong Kong office of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe.

Shyu told China Business Law Journal about his short to mid-term plans for the office. “My personal practice area is capital markets – IPOs, private equity and so on – and I think this will be the primary focus, along with M&A work on relationships with state-owned enterprises and mid-scale private enterprises looking to acquire targets overseas,” he said.
