Trilegal adds employment expert to partnership

Employment law specialist Swarnima has risen through the ranks to become a partner at Trilegal.

“There are quite a few issues that are becoming more relevant today and throwing up new challenges for business owners – be it gig workers and issues around their employment status and benefits; or ensuring that employees use social media responsibly,” Swarnima told India Business Law Journal. “We are also seeing a lot more focus on diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Not only are there new pieces of legislation encouraging diversity, but businesses are appreciating the benefits that a diverse workforce offers.”

Swarnima, who was promoted from her position as counsel, is based in the firm’s Bengaluru office. “It is an exciting new phase,” she said. “I joined Trilegal seven years ago as an associate and have grown with the practice.”
