Abhishek Malhotra, having parted ways with Bharucha & Partners in March, is in the process of rebuilding TMT Law Practice with new hires and a second office. Malhotra left Bharucha with four lawyers and expects to have eight or nine lawyers and a similar number of support staff by 1 April.
“Within this short span, I have added two of counsels and finalized three others to join me in Delhi and Mumbai,” he told India Business Law Journal. TMT will continue to operate from its old office in New Delhi’s Safdarjung Development Area and has added an office in Mumbai.
“Things were not working out for me over there [at Bharucha]. The other partners and I decided that the best course of action for me was to retire and get back to TMT.”
