S&R Associates has promoted disputes counsel Shahezad Kazi to the firm’s partnership. Kazi is the second disputes partner at the firm, along with Niti Dixit, who heads the practice.
Kazi is based in Mumbai and his practice covers corporate, commercial and real estate litigation, insolvency matters, securities law and international arbitration.
Kazi was the lead litigation lawyer from S&R to represent ArcelorMittal India in 2019, after its US$5.7 billion bid for Essar Steel was challenged before the National Company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal and the Supreme Court.
