Sajai Singh, a Bangalore-based partner at J Sagar Associates, has been elected to the executive committee (ExCom) of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw). Singh is the first Asian, and, at 44, the youngest person to serve on the ExCom of ITechLaw.
ITechLaw is an international not-for-profit organization based near Boston in the US. It aims to educate lawyers about the legal issues arising from the use and development of information technology and telecommunications.
“It is an honour to be appointed to the ExCom of ITechLaw,” Singh told India Business Law Journal. “The [nomination committee said] that my nomination was not based on my nationality but on my demonstrated leadership capabilities and people skills. And they felt hugely confident in my marketing skills. I thought these were very encouraging comments made by such senior members of the profession.”
