The Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) officially launched its Shanghai office on 2 March in another move to step up its influence in Asia.
Chinese parties have ranked among the top five foreign users of the SIAC in the past five years, and in 2012 and 2014 they were top of the list, according to the SIAC. The new Shanghai office gives the SIAC a better position to promote its arbitration services in the domestic market.
