The Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA) hosted its sixth Chief Legal Officer (CLO) Awards reception at the Sinfonia Ristorante on 10 November, recognising CLOs who have made outstanding contributions to their respective companies, businesses, or organisations.
The winner from the multinational corporation category was swept up by HSBC’s general counsel Antony Lee, followed by Cuscaden Peak Investments’ (formerly known as Singapore Press Holdings) general counsel Ginney Lim who took the top spot for the business category.
Special recognitions in the public sector category were also awarded to Diane Fletcher from the National University of Singapore, Tan Siew Huay from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Tan Sze Yao from the Ministry of Health.
More than 60 exclusively invited counsels attended the reception, comprising past award winners, finalists and many top general counsel across different organisations. The event’s guest-of-honour was the attorney general of Singapore, Lucien Wong, who was joined by the esteemed panel of award judges.

The SCCA’s co-presidents Daniel Choo and Renita Sophia Crasta jointly stated, “We are most pleased to recognise the amazing efforts of our fellow legal counsels across the various industries. It has been a challenging time indeed for all our businesses, but in-house counsels continue to pivot and do our best to assist our companies to navigate these challenging times.”
This year’s nominations featured strong contestants with top finalists in each category, including individuals from HSBC, EY and French conglomerate Bollore in the category of the multinational corporation; HSBC, Cuscaden Peak Investments, Singapore Airlines, and real estate investment firm ESR Singapore in the business category; and the National University of Singapore, the Ministry of Health, and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore in the public sector category.
Notable sponsors for the event included PwC, DLA Piper, Drew and Napier as well as Forte Law.
