Anand Prasad, one of the founding partners of Trilegal, has announced he will leave the firm next year to pursue a career as an independent counsel and focus on politics.

He added that there is a need for “sophistication” in counsel practice in India for commercial transactions, which he says a corporate lawyer could bring to the table.
