I refer to the article on law enforcement in the July/August issue of your publication.
Although India is a vivacious democratic state with strong laws in place, there is inadequate enforcement of laws, especially at a local level. Democracy and the rule of law are inextricably linked to each other and a decline in one unavoidably affects the other adversely. The efficacy of rule of law has consequences for economic growth and development as well as good governance.
