Sanjay Kamlani and David Perla, the founders of legal process outsourcing (LPO) provider Pangea3, have stepped down as the co-CEOs of the company. They are succeeded by Greg McPolin, formerly the head of litigation and head of sales, and now the global managing director of Pangea3 (see Legal Process Outsourcing Awards, page 45).
Kamlani and Perla’s departure was set in 2010 when they sold the company to Thomson Reuters for an estimated US$35 million. They agreed to stay on for two years to ensure a smooth transition of the business.

“What we have done over the last two years is identify the right members of our management team to take new leadership roles and to transition our responsibilities to them,” Kamlani told India Business Law Journal. “We are very pleased to have had the opportunity to elevate our own people into these positions.”
