Ateam leader for Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe, representing one side of the merger to create the biggest China-based offshore IT services provider, said the uniqueness of this deal may well be the equal weighting each party brings to the table.
The deal to merge VanceInfo Technologies with hiSoft Technology International is valued at about US$875 million and represents one of the largest mergers between two Chinese companies listed in the US.
Orrick is representing VanceInfo Technologies, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, while Simpson Thacher is representing hiSoft Technology International, which is traded on the NASDAQ.
