Singapore law firm Oon & Bazul has launched its tax practice area with the hire of a tax lawyer Ma HanFeng as a partner.
Ma was previously a senior legal specialist at the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, where he represented the institution in a wide range of tax dispute matters for more than four years.
He also previously served as a deputy public prosecutor at the Attorney-General’s Chambers for more than seven years.
With more than 13 years of experience, Ma will strengthen the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice, with a special focus on tax and white-collar crime.
He will also be advising on a broad range of cross-border and domestic tax issues spanning multiple industries, covering tax advisory services such as corporate income tax, personal income tax, goods and services tax, property tax and stamp duty.
