International nuclear power projects lawyer George Borovas has joined American firm Hunton Andrews Kurth as chair of the firm’s nuclear energy practice and managing partner of the Tokyo office.
Borovas joined from Shearman & Sterling in Tokyo, where he was partner and head of nuclear projects since 2014. He is a board member of the World Nuclear Association since he joined in 2017, and brings more than two decades of experience to Hunton in advising on nuclear projects and transactions in the UK, US, Russia, Europe, Middle East, North Africa, Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, China, Australia and South Africa.
