On 1 October Arun Nigam, a lawyer with experience at a number of top-tier law firms, launched his own boutique law firm in Hong Kong. The professionals at the firm, Arum Nigam Associates, practise English and Hong Kong law with a niche focus on India and China.
The firm’s core practice areas include banking and finance, syndicated lending, asset and project finance, debt restructuring, funds, capital markets, private equity, corporate and commercial, and regulatory and trustee work.
Nigam hopes to advise clients on India-related, cross-border, inbound and outbound business and investment transactions. He is also keen to provide a link between clients in India and China and other countries in the region, with the firm aiming to field a complete team of lawyers conversant in English, Hindi, Mandarin and Cantonese.
