Champagne glasses were clinking at the Four Seasons hotel in Hong Kong late last month when Morrison Foerster celebrated 30 years since the opening of its Hong Kong office, the firm’s first in Asia.
Nearly 100 guests and clients of the firm joined with representatives including partners from the Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and newly opened Singapore offices to celebrate. Also present were MoFo chairman Larren Nashelsky, chair emeritus Keith Wetmore, managing partner for Asia Eric Piesner, former managing partner and current vice chair of corporate and finance Pam Reed, and partner, board and executive committee member Paul Friedman.

The Hong Kong office opened its doors in 1983, largely to support one of MoFo’s longest standing clients at the time, Crocker National Bank.
