Vijay Sondhi, a senior partner at Luthra & Luthra has won a seat in the Delhi Bar Council elections. He was the sole candidate from a law firm participating in the elections.
Luthra & Luthra managing partner Rajiv Luthra told India Business Law Journal: “It is a good step for the future of the practise of law since it brings together corporate law and litigation. Vijay is now in the capacity to work for the betterment of law firms as well litigators.”
Although Sondhi is the only winner from a law firm, eight of the 25 candidates with seats are practising lawyers.
