Firm Overview

Zhejiang Zeda Law Firm was established in 2001 on the basis of the restructured Zhejiang ZJU Law Firm.

Our predecessor named Branch Firm #1 of Zhejiang Joint Law Firm, founded in 1984, was among the earliest jointly run law corporations after China’s restoration of the lawyer system. It was renamed Zhejiang Huaxia Law Firm in 1992 and later restructured in 2001 to become the Zeda Law Firm we know today.

We are now the largest comprehensive law firm in Zhejiang province, both in business scale and the number of legal staff . We appeared on the list of the first national excellent law firm rankings of the China National Lawyers’ Association in 2005.

In the province, we have 15 branch offices with more than 800 professionals capable of handling legal aff airs in seven languages including Chinese, English, German, Japanese and Korean. On the strength of eight litigation divisions and 24 nonlitigation offices, we can also assign special legal taskforces or investigation groups to satisfy all our clients’ needs. Our legal corps of experienced lawyers and law specialists will work together to find a solution justified to best attend to the client’s interests. We have in 2020 alone handled 17,000-plus cases and provided advisory services for over 15,000 companies and individual clients.

Now being the most honoured law firm in China, thanks to the prolonged academic support of Guanghua Law School, Zhejiang University, we have signature corporate values and culture that, in the name of law, shows respect to ordinary lives and stays prepared to break ground.
