Infrastructure company Lanco Infratech has sold its shareholding in Udupi Power to Adani Group in the largest acquisition to date in India’s thermal power sector.
As part of its goal of achieving 20,000 megawatts of operational capacity by 2020, Adani acquired Lanco’s shares in Udupi for ₹63 billion (US$ 1 billion).
