Introduction

Sam Kim is a partner and senior foreign attorney specialising in international arbitration and cross-border litigation and has represented clients in arbitrations administered under the rules of various institutions including the ICC, SIAC, HKIAC, KCAB, AAA/ICDR, JCAA and DIS, in disputes related to inbound/outbound investments, joint ventures, sales of goods, licensing of intellectual property, shipping, and construction.

Prior to joining Yoon & Yang, he served as an in-house counsel for a global conglomerate managing cross-border litigations related to commercial disputes, false advertising, product liability, and class actions in jurisdictions in the United States, Asia, Europe and Latin America.

He is consistently ranked as a leading individual in the field of international arbitration in Korea by Chambers and has also been ranked as a litigation star by Benchmark Litigation. He has also been nominated as the Foreign Lawyer of the Year in Korea by Asian Legal Business (ALB) for 2022.
