K&L Gates Straits Law, the Singapore office of K&L Gates, has hired Edward Bennett as a partner to the firm’s asset management and investment funds practice. Bennett joined from Morgan Lewis Stamford, where he was a partner and co-leader of its Singapore investment management practice group for more than four years.
Bennett has experience advising on a wide range of investment fund and corporate transactional matters. After relocating to Singapore from London in 2011, he has advised clients on complex transactions across Asia, especially in Southeast Asian cross-border corporate transactions and fund formations involving investment teams in the wider Asia-Pacific region.
Sreenivasan Narayanan, managing partner of K&L Gates Straits Law, said that Bennet would bolster the firm’s asset management and investment funds capability in Singapore.
