Khaitan & Co has hired Sharad Abhyankar to join its Mumbai office as a partner.
Abhyankar, a corporate lawyer, was formerly with ANS Law Associates, a law firm he helped establish. He spent nine years as a partner at ANS and practised with Little & Co before that.
Abhyankar has 23 years of experience advising on company law, securities, competition, intellectual property, telecommunications, education and international commercial arbitration. At Khaitan & Co, he will handle M&A and foreign exchange transactions, as well as general advisory work.
