Khaitan & Co has welcomed the arrival of leading competition lawyer Manas Kumar Chaudhuri to its New Delhi office.
Chaudhuri joins as a partner heading the firm’s competition law practice. He brings to the table a rare combination of advisory and litigation experience in both academic and corporate settings, primarily in competition law and regulatory regimes, but also related to infrastructure and intellectual property rights.

Chaudhuri is registered as an advocate with the Bar Council of West Bengal and is also a member of the Delhi High Court Bar Association. He has held several high-profile government positions including joint director of legal at the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission in New Delhi and additional registrar at the Competition Commission of India.
