After poaching two lawyers from UK-based Ashurst last year, Khaitan & Co has once again looked to the UK for its recruitment requirements.
Appointed as a partner last month, Bharat Anand joins the firm from the London office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he practised since 2001.
Educated at Delhi University and at Jesus College, Cambridge, Anand is dual qualified in England & Wales and in India. His practice focuses on corporate and commercial transactions such as acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, mergers and reorganizations.
