Introduction

Jonathan Streifer is a senior foreign counsel at Soewito Suhardiman Eddymurthy Kardono (SSEK) with more than 20 years of experience at the firm. He advises clients on corporate and business law including investment, projects, acquisitions, financings, and other commercial transactions. Jonathan also has a robust and growing dispute resolution practice and is active in the technology, media, and telecommunications sector, advising clients on data privacy, content and other issues in the digital economy. He has recently advised several clients on carbon credit and plastic credit projects and other investments in the sustainable economy sector.

Jonathan advises multinationals, startups, investment funds, entrepreneurs and other companies doing business in Indonesia. He is recognised by IFLR1000 as a leading practitioner in Indonesia for financial and corporate law.

Jonathan earned his JD from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall) School of Law. Prior to joining SSEK, Jonathan worked for six years as a legal adviser to law firms in Jakarta and was also with the San Francisco firm of Shartsis Friese.
