Indian law firm J Sagar Associates will take over the entire practice of M&C Partners, a prominent Bangalore-based firm. The merger will create one of the largest presences of any law firm in the south of India.
With over 160 lawyers, including 37 partners, J Sagar has offices in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
Following the merger, Murali Ananthasivan and Vivek Chandy, founder partners of M&C, will join the firm as equity partners, boosting the firm’s south India presence to a total of 39 lawyers, including five partners.
