Our antitrust and competition law practice is a market leading practice and has expertise in handling client mandates across all areas including leniency, merger control, cartel investigation, and abuse of dominance.
We have advised on mergers and acquisitions deals amounting to USD27 billion in the past 18 months. Some of our key deals include advising Clariant International in setting up a joint venture with India Glycols in India, advising Indorama in its acquisition of Grasim’s fertiliser business for USD358 million, and advising SAI Global India Fund I and ON Mauritius in their investment (INR440 million series A and INR1.92 billion series B) in Crofarm Agriproducts.
We have represented clients in matters having a value of USD1.1 billion in disputes and have acted for major solar and renewable energy companies in disputes, amounting to approximately USD593 million, across various jurisdictions and fora. We have acted for lenders, investors, insolvency professionals, liquidators, creditors, promoters and guarantors in five out of 12 large insolvencies in India. We also advised the consortium of the successful resolution applicant for Jet Airways India, and have represented resolution professionals of Ricoh India, GB Global and Dignity Buildcon Projects. We have also acted for international lessors in leasing aircraft to leading airlines in India.
