The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) says a series of conferences in the region to launch its new mediation rules have met with interest from government officials, mediators, lawyers, academics, in-house counsel and even business executives with no legal training.
Sylvia Tee, ICC Dispute Resolution Services’ director of ICC arbitration and ADR, Asia, said the Hong Kong ICC Mediation Rules Launch Conference on 25 March was part of a series of events across Asia including in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, with events also planned in Australia and Japan.
