Herbert Smith Freehills has two new partners in its Hong Kong and Beijing offices as part of a regional initiative.

The firm announced it had appointed Monica Sun as a partner in its corporate and energy practice in Beijing, and Simon Chapman as a partner in international arbitration practice in its Hong Kong office.
New Asia-Pacific partners made up 11 of the firm’s 19 global partner promotions this year, reflecting the firm’s expectations for strong regional growth.
