Lan Tao and Gloria Wang, former partner and counsel at Sidley Austin, respectively, have joined Han Kun Law Offices to bolster the firm’s competitiveness in the energy and infrastructure sector.
With 20 years of experience in cross-border M&A related to China, Lan is particularly skilled in outbound investments in the fields of oil and gas, minerals, and infrastructure. He was one of the leading partners in advising GE on the USD5.4 billion sale of its worldwide home appliance business to Haier.
Before joining Sidley Austin, He was also a partner at White & Case.
Wang has extensive experience representing clients in cross-border transactions that involve multiple jurisdictions. She provides legal services to national and international oil companies, and other significant players in the energy industry, offering customised support throughout the entire energy value chain.
