Cindy Sim Xin Yee, a partner at Malaysian law firm Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill, has moved into an in-house counsel role as head of legal at Grab Digital Bank project in Kuala Lumpur.
Sim joined Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill in 2012 as an associate in the dispute resolution department to handle banking litigation work and was promoted into partnership in 2020. As a banking and finance practitioner, she has acted for local and foreign financial institutions and borrowers, including multinational corporations, listed issuers, and government-linked companies.
Advising on domestic and cross-border financing on a bilateral and syndicated basis, Sim is experienced in the issuance of corporate bonds and sukuks (Islamic bonds), property development matters, and financial compliance and regulatory issues.
