Your article on the legal market in Bangalore was long awaited (Southern charms, IBLJ volume I issue 8). Except for a very small number of newspaper columns, there has not been any writing on this important topic.
Nevertheless, better late than never. I believe this may be the first time that such a survey on Bangalore has been undertaken and it was a very good survey indeed.
About 10 years ago, when I started my own IP practice, there was only one law firm in Bangalore – AV Nathan & Associates – and a few private practitioners to attend to IP matters. But today, Bangalore, like for many other sectors, has become a preferred destination for law firms. Most national law firms already have an office in the city or plan to open one soon.
