Jamie Benson, a former partner at Dorsey & Whitney, has moved to Singapore to join Duane Morris & Selvam as head of the firm’s US securities law practice and co-head of its India practice.
Benson was with Dorsey & Whitney for six years, first in Sydney and then in London. Prior to that, he practised at Coudert Brothers and Jones Day in Sydney, and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in New York.
Benson relocated to Asia for both personal and professional reasons. With a young daughter and most of his family in Sydney, joining a firm in Singapore allowed him to be closer to home. At the same time, it provided an opportunity to capitalize on his India-focused practice.
