Capital markets specialist Connie Heng has been named Clifford Chance’s new Asia-Pacific regional managing partner, effective from 1 November.
Heng takes over from Geraint Hughes, who will have completed his four-year term and will remain as a partner in the firm.
Heng has been at the firm’s Hong Kong office for more than 20 years, and has been regional head of its capital markets practice in Asia since 2015.
As a member of the firm’s Global Wider Leadership Group since 2018, she has given valuable input into the firm’s global strategic plan. She has also represented the firm as part of its delegation to the World Economic Forum in Davos since 2012, and is an active supporter of inclusion and gender issues, founding the firm’s first women’s network in the region.
