Dear Madam,
It was very interesting to read your story last month on the top foreign law firms for India-related work. It was well-written and equally well presented.
Leading from the front was an apt header for the story. The firms featured in the story had many accomplishments to their credit. Firms with diverse areas of practice offering a one-stop solution are no doubt the preferred choice, but when you look at their credentials in relation to a specific jurisdiction, the country practice tilts the balance even more.
If I am doing a deal in China, I would prefer to work with a local law firm, but through an established global law firm having a good record of China practice. I would like the global law firm to manage the relationship with the Chinese firm as they are in a position to better communicate on the client’s expectations and deliverables.
