International law firm Clifford Chance has announced that Nish Shetty will join the firm’s Singapore office as a partner in August.
An Indian national, Shetty moved to Singapore in 1979 where he graduated with a law degree from the National University of Singapore in 1994. He joined Singapore firm WongPartnership in 1995 before being appointed to the firm’s partnership in 2001. Shetty is qualified in Singapore and England and Wales and has in-depth experience in cross-jurisdictional arbitration in Southeast Asia.
Shetty will enhance Clifford Chance’s restructuring and insolvency practice in Asia, while also strengthening its arbitration and dispute resolution practice in the region. Clifford Chance has more than 40 dispute resolution lawyers working in Asia.
