Introduction

Steve Yu is a critical-issues legal adviser with nearly 25 years of experience in law. He advises progressive corporate leaders to navigate business opportunities that are unique to the Chinese market.

Yu guides on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, technology licensing, regulatory and compliance across multiple industrial sectors. He is an expert on joint ventures and architect of some of China’s largest and precedent-setting Sino-foreign joint ventures.

In addition to his corporate practice, Yu advises high-tech and digital companies on strategic IP licensing, R&D and commercialisation of IP rights.

Yu graduated from NCUT in Beijing and the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in Chicago. He is a passionate fan of Jazz and Scottish whiskies.
