Introduction
Kevin Huang graduated from the Law School of Fudan University with LLB and LLM degrees. He obtained his second LLM degree from Trinity College Dublin Law School. Prior to joining Commerce & Finance Law Offices, Huang was with a top Chinese law firm for more than 10 years. He also worked in a well known European law firm, with its antitrust team, in 2017.
Huang is currently acting as vice director of the competition and antitrust committee of the Shanghai Bar Association.
Huang specialises in providing legal compliance services including antitrust and anti-unfair competition, data protection and cybersecurity, anti-commercial bribery and responding to investigation, etc. He has provided legal services including merger filing, in China and worldwide, and data protection and cybersecurity compliance services for dozens of multinational companies, listed companies and other leading companies in industries such as new energy vehicles, high-end equipment manufacturing, semiconductor, food and medicine, retail and logistics, etc. Huang has published dozens of articles and regularly participates in international exchange activities in the field of competition law, data protection and other compliance areas.
Huang has more than 10 years’ experience in M&A and PE, and specialises in dealing with various types of complex transactions and projects. He has provided many Fortune 500 companies and large state-owned enterprises and listed companies in China with professional legal services, and has been responsible for several major investment and acquisition projects in the fields of high-end equipment manufacturing, automobile, commercial chain, culture and education, TMT, etc. Huang has also represented many VC and PE investment institutions in investment projects.
For his outstanding performance, Huang was recommended by The Legal 500 in the antitrust and competition area in 2019, and “China Top Lawyers − 15 Rising Partner” by LEGALBAND in 2020. Huang has also won first prize of the Shanghai Lawyer Academic Competition in the “Non-litigation legal documents” section held by the Shanghai Bar Association.
