Introduction

Gao has been representing and advising many well-known Chinese and foreign clients, including Fortune 500 multinationals, on a variety of IP, dispute resolution and corporate matters. He specializes in complex IP litigation with a focus on patent infringement, including matters in relation to standard-essential patents (SEPs), misappropriation of trade secrets, trademark infringement and unfair competition.

Gao has a wide range of experience in R&D and technology collaboration, IP licensing, IP acquisition and management, commercial transaction and collaboration, open source software (OSS) and other non-contentious and transactional matters. He has also represented many clients in complex contract, corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration. His practice covers diverse industries including telecoms, semiconductors, electronics, software, industrial engineering and automation, and the automotive industry.
