Introduction

Philip Wong is the managing partner of Gallant, a renowned full service independent domestic law firm in Hong Kong established in 1977. Wong leads a strong team of more than 40 lawyers providing legal services in a wide variety of practices including banking and finance, corporate and M&A, insurance, intellectual property, real estate and dispute resolution.

Graduating in 1991 from the University of Hong Kong with a bachelor of laws (hons), Wong obtained his master of laws degree in 1994 and was admitted as a solicitor of Hong Kong in the same year. Wong is frequently recognised and named in a number of authoritative international legal publications and rating agencies, including Legal 500, IFLR1000, Asialaw Profiles and China Business Law Journal. Wong actively participates in various pro bono committee work at the Law Society of Hong Kong and provides public and community services to a large number of NGOs and charitable organisations in Hong Kong. Wong is the chairman of the practice management committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong and vice chairman of the legal fact check committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong, legal adviser of Po Leung Kuk, the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association and the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Charitable Foundation and honorary legal adviser of the Hong Kong Society for the Aged and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association.
