Introduction

Calamus Huang is a partner in the corporate group based in Harneys’ Shanghai office. She is an experienced transactional lawyer. Her major clients include private equity and venture capital funds, listed and private companies, multinationals and onshore law firms.

Huang advises on a wide range of cross-border and multi-jurisdictional corporate matters, with a particular focus on initial and secondary public offerings (including listing of SPACs), private and public M&As (including going-private transactions and de-SPACs), joint venture, reorganisations and restructurings, establishment and structuring of private equity funds as well as their regulatory compliance and downstream transactions.

Prior to joining Harneys in 2021, Huang spent 10 years in the China corporate practice at Sidley Austin. Before moving to Shanghai, she worked in the Hong Kong office of Latham & Watkins and Linklaters, respectively.

Huang does not practise PRC law. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
