Introduction

Yuan Xiaobin is currently the chairman of ZHH & Robin, and also: A standing committee member of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK); deputy director of the financial securities business committee of the All-China Lawyers Association; president of the Chongqing Lawyers Association; vice chairman of the Chongqing municipal committee of RCCK; the legal adviser of the CPC Chongqing municipal committee, the decision-making expert of Chongqing municipal people’s government; vice president of the Chongqing Law Society; an arbitrator of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission; and an arbitrator of Shanghai International Arbitration Centre.

Yuan has achieved a Doctor of Law degree, and is an expert on special allowances from the State Council. The All-China Lawyers Association awarded him an “Outstanding Contribution Award of China’s Lawyer” and “National Outstanding Lawyer”. He has also been repeatedly selected as “Industry Talent” by Chambers.

For more than 20 years, Yuan has actively learned the legal service experience from an international; perspective, while also focusing on actual legal practice in China, so that he combines international and domestic practice experiences and provides various solutions to clients.

He has provided high-quality legal services to Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, HSBC, Citi, as well as other Fortune 500 companies such as JP Morgan, ABB, FORD, etc. He has also retained a large number of financial, real estate and M&A cases.

While serving on the CPC Chongqing municipal committee, and other parties’ committees and government agencies, he has provided professional opinions, actively co-operated with the government, and assisted state-owned enterprises on bankruptcy, restructuring and M&A cases, which has made a positive contribution to the deeper reform of SOEs.

Yuan founded ZHH in 1997, and led the management team to learn the advanced experiences of domestic and foreign leading law firms. He actively promotes the scaled operation, internationalisation, specialisation, and directly corporate management of ZHH. Yuan has successfully led ZHH to become the first western China law firm to expand to eastern China and overseas, and promoted ZHH to become one of the outstanding corporate law firms. ZHH has received many awards, which indicates that the firm is a leading comprehensive international law firm in China.
