Introduction

Chen Yaoquan is a founding partner of TianTong Law Firm, with a successful legal career spanning more than 20 years. He is one of the top lawyers by the number and success rate of civil and commercial cases represented in the Supreme People’s Court (SPC) of China. Chen possesses an impressive track record of success in all the SPC cases he has represented for several years running. Many of these cases have played a leading role in filling the legal gaps in legislation.

Since 2002, Chen has represented more than 120 SPC civil and commercial cases, and developed unique and diverse hands-on experience in high-profile civil and commercial cases. He is especially well versed in dealing with civil and commercial disputes involving guarantee, company, finance, securities, negotiable documents and contracts. As the principal and head of TianTong’s litigation business team, Chen has established and improved the team working model and case process management system, which are highly instrumental in providing efficient and excellent legal services for clients.

Chen has been involved in the formulation and revision of a number of judicial interpretations at the invitation of the SPC, and many cases represented by him have been included in the SPC’s guidebooks on judicial business, like the Gazette of the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China and the Reference and Guide to Commercial Trials.
