Cairn has appointed Nitin Banerjee as general counsel. Banerjee will be a member of Cairn’s business executive committee and will help drive the company’s vision to contribute to 50% of the country’s crude oil and gas production.
He will also be an integral member of the group legal council and play a key role in driving the overall legal vision and charter for the legal function across the group.

“We are delighted to welcome Nitin to the Vedanta family. His expertise in energy and infrastructure projects are crucial in leveraging our inherent strengths as a leading natural resources company,” said Sudhir Mathur, CEO of Cairn Oil & Gas.
